Making your own gameboard is a fun exercise for both kids and adults. Creating a boardgame encourages logical thinking, rule development, reasoning, consequential actions and fosters and understanding of chance and reward. It also encourages left brain (creative) thinking in developing the design. It may sound complicated but even young children have developed their own games. Creating your own boardgame is a little like creating your own world, will it be bright and colorful or dark and mysterious? Is the objective fun and lighthearted or more serious (like saving the world)!
